Hi F2A. Thanks for starting this. We had an RFE because I forgot to mark N/A on a section. Now I am hoping that everything gets approved before our date becomes current. Our PD is Dec 19, 2011. What was your PD? Once your PD became current and you submitted your I-435, was everything else really quick? I am just wondering how long they are taking to adjudecate the AOS at this time. We are anxious to get this process over with.

So all of you AOS people, do you think that USCIS only works on our I-130 once they know that our PD will be current? I hope that I get the approval on the 130 before Aug so that I can apply Aug 1. I am just anxious to get this done and worry about any additional delays.

Question, have any of you doing AOS submitted your I-485 with a pending I-130 because you had a current PD?

I got the approval for I-130 and I am already here in the US on h1b, what will be the next step for me to adjust status? Do I still go to nvc and get a case number? I need to know what to do next ...

12/13 - Googled uscis office on our state & sent a personal letter to head requesting assistance.

01/14/2014 - Biometrics successful

01/28/2014 - Interview done... APPROVED! After 2 hrs status changed to GC on production.

Congrats ebie8. If you are doing AOS, then once you have your approval AND your PD is current, then you would send in your i-485 and all of the other requisite documents. Double check the most current version of the file to see where it needs to be sent. As of right now it is Chicago lockbox. However, your PD is not current yet. Maybe the Aug VB that comes out next week will tell you that you are current.

I'm still waiting for my i-130 approval.

Aug VB is out and it is CURRENT for all F2A category. I am glad that I trusted my gut and started all of the paperwork. I hope that my NOA2 arrives by Aug 1, otherwise I am applying as is and mark "Pending i-130" since I am doing AOS and not CP. I am soo happy. Having the NOA2 in hand is the only thing that can make this month better. :)

This is great news. Are you aware of anyone F2A person in the past that has successfully submit I-485, while I-130 is still pending?

Given that NAO2 for F2A category takes forever, there will be a lot of F2A applicants planning to adjust in the US while their I-130 is pending.

08/16/2013 case transferred to NSC

08/27/13 Approval (NOA2)

08/30/13 Hard copy of NOA2 received

09/04/13 NVC returned file to USCIS

I-485 APPLICATION

08/6/13 I-485, 765, and 131 package mailed

8/7/13 package received by USCIS chicago

8/12/13 text and email of acceptance received

8/15/13 hard copies of I-797c receipt notices received

8/19/13 FP notice recieved, FP scheduled for 09/06/13

8/21/13 Successful FP walk in

9/3/13 Status changed to testing and interview

9/6/13 Email for interview scheduled for 10/9/13 at 2:30 pm in Philadelphia

10/7/13 EAD and AP approved

10/9/13 Interview lasted less than 5 mins and was approved on the spot

10/17/13 combo EAD and AP card received, but don't need it since GC has been approved already

10/21/13 10-year GC received, wow so much good things happening. THANK YOU JESUS!
