Did not write case number on civil documents. HELP

Hello....I did not read anywhere in the directions (the online directions you receive after your fee posts to "PAID" and you get an instructions tab) for sending in the DS 230 packet that you had to write your case number on each document...however, in the email letter (it was another cover sheet) directions for the DS230, it said to make sure you write your case number on the upper right corner of all documents. Why did it not say that on the one set of instructions that I read over one MILLION times? I had already sent out the 230 packet, and just now noticed that it said that on ANOTHER set of instructions for the same form. Again, WHY is this so confusing and contradictory??? Anyone else neglect to notice this minute detail? Do you think it'll delay the application?

Also, one more hefty question I'm afraid to hear the answer to: Do you think that since the latest terrorism even at the Boston Marathon, un-processed forms are taking longer now due to heightened security measures? I hope not. but I'm afraid to hear the answer to that question.

Thanks for any help!

I sent in the AOS and IV package (minus the Police report, but that is a separate thread).

I included the Cover Sheet, and wrote a cover letter stating the contents of the packet. But I did not write the CASE number on every single document, and so far they have accepted everything.

Just relax ...

I didn't write the case number on any document, in all honesty and it was processed in a normal amount of time. I sent in a bunch of relationship evidence as well, and everything was sent to the consulate.

It's only if they lose a document then they can find it and put it with the case. It's not the end of the world if you don't.
