Hi there,

I read a post about a visa for someone's wife. http://www.visajourn...cy-requirement/

I tried to message them but they didn't get back at me yet. I actually want to know how did it go for her. Did it count against her 2 year thing or not?

I got J1 visa too. I left the states in May 28,2011 then I got married to a USC in June. My 2 year HR should be done by May 28, 2013. But I went to canada from August 2, 2012 to November 19, 2012. Then I went back to Indonesia. Oh I'm Indonesian btw. And we have a 16 months old baby boy. I am living in Indonesia now. My husband filled I-130 in January, we got NOA1 then until now we're still waiting for more updates.

So based on your experience, please tell me did my time in Canada will be counted or not? I am curious to death. I got so many different information and that makes me sad.

Hope to hear from u soon. Thanks a lot

Dian

I'm from Indonesia (the beneficiary), and my husband is a USC.

USCIS

06/04/2011: Got married in Surabaya, Indonesia

03/10/2013: (Some time at these dates) Filed I-130 through a lawyer

03/25/2013: Priority date, NOA1

11/08/2013: Case was transferred to Texas Service Center

11/16/2013: Case update: "was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office."

11/25/2013: NOA2. Post Decision Activity: APPROVED (by Texas Service Center)

12/05/2013: Received NOA2 in the mail.

12/19/2013: "Shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing."

NVC

01/03/2014: NVC received our case work.

03/26/2014: Called NVC and they said that there's an error on the affidavit support and they didn't get copy of my passport. This case, I blame our lawyer.
