hi folks.am a us citizen..i filed the i 130 for my wife on december 2012,and i still waiting for the approved .is ther anybody have a similar case .thank you

Have you been notified that your application was received or has your check been cashed? It should not take this long for the USCIS to send you an ACK at least.

If you received either of the above, consider giving them a call to check where the application stands.

Good luck!

You should get NOA1 (ie a letter saying the case was received) within a couple of weeks of sending in the paperwork/ the check being cashed.

It won't get approved and sent on to the next stage, NVC, for 6+ months so you are still within the limits there, but should hear something soon unless you had an RFE slowing you down.

I would call to see if your file is at a local office.

You can inquire at the local office with an infopass. the local offices are all dependent on volume, I have seen some cases take the 5-7 months but it is rare.

Additionally, keep calling every two weeks, there are plenty of petitioners who did not know they had an approval or an rfe without calling.

Good luck

yeah ,6 months waiting just for the approved plus another 2 or 3 months in the NVC plus the waiting time for the interview that means 1 year that's just unacceptable

Pretty common actually. That's the time frame for the IR1/CR1. Look up member Teague. Lemme know what you find :)
