i arrived in the usa friday on my k1 visa the immigration officer said i need apply for my I94 can someone give me a step by step guide on when and how to apply thanks in advance

How did you not get ur i94 upon arrival

They rolled out an automated I-94 starting April 30 for air and sea entries. It should be to all airports by this week. People that need a copy do this online submission to print their own. http://www.cbp.gov/I94

It should also have to effect of SSNs being available faster because the paper form does not have to be entered by a human into the database. It's supposed to be there immediately with the automation. Does not apply to land crossing entries.

I hope more people report on this on the forums -- I was vaguely aware of it and saw one prior posting, but I'd love to know for reference how it's going to affect other things like getting the SSN and even filing for AOS. My fiance should be arriving in August or September, so hopefully they'll have worked out the kinks by then!

K-1 Visa: I-129F filed November 6, 2012, NOA2 May 17, 2013, Interview and Approval July 24, 2013

POE San Diego, September 13, 2013, Wedding October 25, 2013

AOS filed November 19, 2013, EAD/AP received January 30, 2014, interview and AOS Approval on February 27, 2014.

ROC filed December 3, 2015, NOA1 12/4/15, Biometrics 12/31/15, ROC Approval on June 16, 2016, 10-Year Green Card received June 22, 2016.

N400 filed September 14, 2023, same day acceptance and Biometric Reuse notice, Interview on 2/13/24: Passed and same day oath. ALL DONE WITH USCIS.

No RFE at any stage, thanks to VisaJourney!

2024 February 13: naturalization interview (five-year rule) passed, same day oath - now a US Citizen and done with USCIS!
