This is really just me asking the community for a double check on what I need to do with the NVC.

I know I need to call them relentlessly to get my case number and that they'll send me a bill. (I may be getting this confused with another visa process)

I got my NOA2 on May 13th so they should have it by now. Also, I thought they were supposed to notify me when things moved because I gave them a G-1145 but that only notified me for the NOA1.

Don't know if this has be posted before. Anyone else find that the search bar on Visa Journey doesn't work?

Technically, you really don't have to call them and the embassy will contact you for an interview (this is dependent on your country though).

There are no fees to be paid at NVC for I-129F/K1 folks.

You call to get your case number, and to confirm when the petition has been shipped to the post.

You can track this shipment to the post.

Notification doesn't always work so you need to be engaged. I have an app that tracked my USCIS petitions automatically for me. It's so good that I get my text notification before the USCIS text notifications.

Our file stayed at NVC about 2 days, then it was off to the Embassy. No reason to call other then get your case number.

There is no fee payable to NVC

No need to call relentlessly. When they assign a case number they will give it to you.

I would guess based on our experience, your file has already left NVC and on it's way to the consulate.
