OOPS at leaving the country before AOS was started and without a travel document. BTW We all cared more more about our foreign spouses getting into the US than the green card itself.

Your best and fastest option is to file a new I130 and start the CR1 process. Your wife may or may not be allowed back in before the process is completed depending on the mood of the immigration officer at the airport but you idea9dv.gif always have the option to go back to her country and see her while the petition is being processedidea9dv.gif .

When we filed K3 in 2007 that was the fastest way and we got a visa in (6) months even though our I130 and I129F were approved on the same day.

Unfortunately the K3 visas are obsolete because the I129F and I130 have the same processing time and if the I130 is approved at the same time as the I129F then the default is CR1 and they cancel the K3.

Since you live in the US there is little to no chance that you will get a DCF. By the time you establish residency in another country your I130 will have been processed anyway then there is that nasty little support affidavit to overcome - either you need a co-sponsor, a lot of cash on hand, or an ongoing job in the US with income above the 125% poverty.

The fees change every few months but from what I can tell -

The I130 is about $430

The affidavit of support fee is around $88

The visa application fee is around $230
