change of address for fiancee beneficiary

My fiancee will be moving to a new address. She can still receive her mail at the old address but is more convienant to receive at new address. Is it better to leave it alone or, if not too difficult, is it better to change? I am about to send in more information pursuant to a RFE. If I do change the address for her, when is the best time to do so? Now with the RFE or later after I receive the NOA2?

thanks in advance for your help,

tom

Tom, this is a response I made to a similar question:

"I have some experience with the address change. They, customer service, said it would take about 45 days to fully process. I called back 10 days later to confirm the address had been changed. The agent said that it was in the system and any future mailings would go to my new address. So, you can call to confirm the change has been made.

I appreciate your frustration though. In this day and age I can't understand why this whole process takes so long."

To answer your question directly, you can call Customer Service to change your address. Their number is on your NOA. However, this is a hot topic because alot of people on this site complain about not recieving docs after an address change.

Knowing what I know now, I would say leave it alone if she is HIGHLY CONFIDENT that her mail will be recieved at the old address.

Hope this helps, and good luck in your journey!

I'd say you can wait and have the address changed when the process reaches the embassy/consulate. I don't know how it works in Bangkok, but in some other countries, it just requires e-mailing them.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

We had very had experiences with change of address.

I'd say, leave it since she can still receive the mail.

If she really wants to change the address... fax the consulate after your case leave NVC and on it's way to the local consulate.
