Hi guys,

Ever since I started working at my husbands office and have come into contact with people on a daily basis I seem to be picking up every bug thats going, and they're 'new' bugs to me nothing like I have felt before..........has anyone else had this happen? I'm guessing Im just getting exposed to new bugs and virus's that I don't have antibodies for yet?

I'm dreading going into work now as I seem to keep falling ill !!!!! This wasn't something I had considered, I feel like a toddler!!!laughing.gif

Still loving being here though, I just want this exposure to new illnesses over and done withyes.gif

I understand what your saying. When I use to work from home during the winter and then go in I started catching bugs alot too. Just make sure your getting sleep eating good and are rested.

Wash your hands and just be safe. I wouldnt use anti bacteria soap just wash :)

Anyhow next winter I think will be alot easier.

There was another thread like this last year or so and yep it's common! When I came to visit, not to live, I go SO SICK! I hadn't been that sick in a really long time.

I've been here 3 1/2 (almost 4) years no. I rarely get sick. My colleague has been getting really sick lately and I've skipped the majority of them but my first month there I got sick because of all the foreign bugs they had.

Get some Emergen-C and take it daily.

If that doesn't suit you, when yer out shopping, look NEXT to the Emergen-C display, there's other stuff that helps with the immunity system. Teachers have this problem, often, and take extra stuff throughout the year.

If none of that works, you can get a vitamin booster IV at a homeopathic clinic in your town.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I rarely get sick but when I moved here, I got very sick my first week here and had severe sore throat. I had never experienced anything like that before, it was so bad, and it lasted for over two weeks. I think now I'm immune to viruses here but I still get sick every time on airplanes (with so many people from all over the world carrying all types of viruses and bugs). I still have cough that I caught on a flight to Europe a few weeks ago. mad.gif

In the opposite way... Every time I go back to Italy to visit with hubby's family I get sick. We just got back from 3 week trip and I am still suffering with cough and sinus. So I fully believe that our body does not have the antibodies for viruses from other continents! Nobody else gets sick, just me!
