I read a looooottttt of posts trying to find the answers to my questions so I apologize if these were already asked, I couldn't find anything...

I'm a student and my parents are going to be the primary sponsors for my foreign fiancé. It seems there are mixed conclusions over whether both my parents and I should fill out separate I-134s or if they only should support him. Since I'm the fiancé, and I do have an income (though miniscule), and I do plan on using that income to buy him/us things, I feel like the best decision is to fill out an I-134 myself and then have my parents do another one. I have only part time work, so I think I will write "see attached" on question 7 where it asks for my employment info, and then I will attach a letter explaining my student status, my part-time work, my intentions of adding to our financial support, and my tax returns for the past 3 years. Does this seem ok?

My other question is about my parents... the form is constructed for a single individual to fill it out, but it seems weird to choose one of my parents only, and while my dad meets the poverty requirements alone (but not by a lot) it seems like it would be a negative misrepresentation to say that our entire household's income (plus my fiancé!) would be limited to his alone... how has anyone else handled using parents as sponsors? I know I can just add a lot of attachments, but I'm not sure how to treat the initial form.

For the I-134, one is probably enough, from your dad who has the main income (plus one from you of course).

After marriage, for the Adjustment of Status AOS, where you will be using the I-864, you will have one I-864 for you, one for your dad, and a I-134 from your mom.

Just to clarify this.. I am more than sure Penguin meant to say that for AOS your dad can be the joint sponsor and fill out his own I-864 and your mom can fill out an I-864A to go along with his I-864. No I-134 for AOS.

You cannot combine incomes with the I-134, so you need one co-sponsor for the K-1 that meets the income requirement for their own household size plus the foreign fiance(e). One I-134 from the petitioner and one I-134 from a qulifying co-sponsor.
