Hi all, just a quick message to let you all know about our NVC situation, but first let me explain what originally happened in the beginning...

We filed the I-130 application back in February and received a NOA1 not long after, just over a month later they sent our application back to us, along with a letter explaining that the cheque date was incorrect (it was written with 2012 instead of 2013) which is still technically valid. So we then corrected everything and sent our I-130 package back, and received another NOA1 with a new case number. Weeks and weeks later we received a NOA2 approval notice for the first case number that was assigned to us, thinking that was still our case we checked every day after NVC received the package to get a case number from them... Turns out that the approved case from USCIS was somebody else's, they gave our first case to a new person, and we now have to work with the second case number which is still the dreaded "initial Review" that nobody likes to see. A huge pain in the @$$ is you ask me, but at least we are even more prepared for the NVC this time, having everything ready to send in. I have updated my timeline backwards now.
