That is great that your case is moving along!!

To the others: Just try to relax and stay positive...your case will get touched eventually!! Also, some places are facing 1-2 year wait times so if you haven't been touched in 30 or 90 days don't get down.

Also, did you get an rfe because you didn't mail 3 years of tax returns or did you just not mail any tax returns? We only submitted the 2005 tax return.

Hey guys,

I am sorry to hear that some of the cases haven't been touched in a while.

Yours will get there too.

It's such a long journey and I would have been already done with the AOS if my husband submitted EVERYTHING they requested the first time...

Also, it took FOREVER cause he couldn't get his damn paperwork together...that's frustrating...

The Rfe was for several things:

Although I told my husband how serious this application is, he wouldn't submit the following:

tax returns of 2005

employment letter

w2's

bank statements

well, thats why I got an RFE and I knew that I will get one, since the application was pretty much incomplete and it wasn't even my fault!

Oh well...

Then, I submitted the RFE and FORGOT to put the 2005 tax returns with the RFE, yeah, I know I am dumb.

Well, mailed the tax returns off 1 day after I submitted the RFE paperwork...and now its getting-hopefully- processed.

I honestly just care about my work permit- I am a personal trainer and would just like to work!

This entire process has been so frustrating...especially since there was pretty much no support from my husband's side....it sucks...

I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of you that are in the process!

May all of us get approved soon!

I can relate to that. I started filling out my AOS docs a year ago and have been held up because my hubby simply would not file his tax return!

He even got money back! Anyway after much prodding, he (I) did it and we're now starting the process a year after initially planned. Now I am at a point where I hope it takes a while so I don't need to go through lifting of conditions and can get it all taken care of in one shot.

Yeah i hear the problem of the hubby holding things up lol. I waited 6 months for him to get his stuff together. My husband didn't get an employee letter either. We just submitted 2005 tax return and 3 pay stubs. I hope that's enough!!

I submitted 2005 tax returns complete with W-2's as well and still got an RFE. Soooo....I called the IRS and had them mail me my tax transcripts to submit with the RFE. I sent employer letters as well, but I didn't have three months of paystubs to send. They got my information and resumed processing my husband's AOS and EAD, as well as transferring us to CSC. Hope that's all we'll hear til we get that beloved GC in the mail. :D

like KarenCee i sent 3yrs in w/ the application and received an RFE for 2005. so i copied them and sent them. again. i think maybe a disgruntled worker in the mail room is hoarding all of our returns!
