actually uscis will accept the package then go thru it and see if everything is correct, if the fee is incorrect then they return it back to the person

Yup, that's the way it works ! takes about 1 month on the turn-around, also.

What the OP is experiencing is abnormal, and is very messy.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Howdy all, I confess, first time poster on here.

Finally got all the paperwork together for the K1 Visa Application, sent in by my wonderful and awesome fiance. (he's the one down in the states.)

Go to track the package...

Your Item's StatusYour item was refused by the addressee at 10:28 am on May 24, 2013 in LEWISVILLE, TX 75067 and is being returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later

Has anyone else out there had issues? It was sent to:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067

Should I chalk it down to "USPS...did you try to deliver it to the wrong place"? and just try again once it gets returned?

Update time:

Jesse just got the package back. (Beat to heck he says)

More postage required?? He goes to the post office, gets everything taken care of there, pays what they tell him is the shipping cost ($20), it makes it all the way to the lewisville post office and its at the post office it's refused. (Yeah I looked closer at the tracking. Acceptance at lewisville post office and refusal have the same time stamp)

Seriously, for shame USPS. It went through how many sort facilities, gets shipped out there, and the local there guys bounce it? What a waste!

Sigh. He's gonna try to ship it out again on Tuesday. I'll keep you all posted on the shenanigans. Not gonna lie, there were a lot of expletives today.

Ninja edit. He did it through a kiosk. Didn't even know you guys had that option. So okay. Could have been user behind kiosk error - not sure how those things work, if they weigh and size and all that jazz.

Note to all: GO TO THE POST OFFICE AND TALK TO SOMEONE AND MAKE SURE IT GETS SENT OFF WITH THE CORRECT POSTAGE!!! Save yourselves the aggravation that we've gone through. Head, meet desk.

OK...so it got returned because he didn't put the correct postage on it. You make a very good point to go to the window and have a clerk, like me, mail it for you. When it is a very important item don't try to do it yourself. I am so sorry this happened and I hope that on Tuesday he gets it sent off again without incident.

Lol well, up here (Canada) we don't have the self serve kiosks. If you want something sent express post or registered mail, you have to deal with them at the post office (though some companies have some deal with Canada post for registered mail...) but still, regular citizen would have to go talk to someone, have the package measured and weighed, and charged accordingly. I could see how the self serve kiosks could be handy for your infamous flat rate boxes or regular letters, but packages? Sigh.

(Back to cleaning house I go, have a showing tomorrow...)

I hope it will go through this time!

Sending stuff with express mail isn't cheap and if it bounces back then damn, I can't even imagine the frustration.

Best of luck to you!

And thanks to everyone who quotes my message and tried to make me feel a little less anxious. I guess I have to get used to this journey, long journey it's gonna be.
