I would imagine, and this is just imagining, but that someone there is kind of a jerk, and since they don't HAVE to forward it, he just rejected it because it was from USPS. Just my guess, though.

Could be a case of "dangnabbit it's the day before the long weekend I don't want to put this in the box to go to the other place"...or maybe he/she was angsty towards love, saw it was a fiance petition package and said "NOPE! If I'm miserable, let's make everyone else miserable too!! NO HAPPY COUPLES!" lol.

I may suggest he ship it to the Dallas box instead...

If you are using USPS, send it to Dallas. If you're using something else, send it to Lewisville.

Too late... especially because I read

For USPS Express Mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067

on the USCIS web site so I thought I would have been ok. What if he gets everything back? Can he just use another envelope, change the address on it, send it to Dallas instead? Would he have to change all the papers in it that have their address on it (cover letter, fiancè intent to marry...)?

FREAKING OUT HERE.

I don't think we need to change the address for the intent to marry et al.

J & L, it might be that I happened to get THE JERK (as Duraaraa suggested). It may have also been that Jesse (though he writes a LOT more legibly than me!) wrote something illegible. Or someone read something wrong. Hard to say. I seem to be the one out of LOTS who has had this happen, so you may/should be okay.

*ninja edit*...actually now that I think about it, I think I did my intent to marry to Dallas...

it's the same entity, just a different address, so I can't see that being the end of the world.

Don't worry. Seriously. The addresses on the cover letters and letters of intent do not matter.

But I'm known to worry over anything! Ah well, guess all we can do is sit here and wait with our fingers crossed.

This is the first time I read on here that a package has been sent back.

I hope you'll get everything sorted out and will be able to send your K1 application.

I accidentally sent it to Lewisville when I should have sent it to Dallas AND I had the lockbox address on all my letters, etc. It didn't matter. I promise. :)

Lol it's just my luck I drew either an inept postie, or a grumpy desk guy.
