Hello all!

Long time since I posted here, but you guys are always so helpful so my wife and I have a couple questions.

We filed our I-485 in September, got an RFE, mailed the additional documents and they receieved them November 11th. We still haven't heard anything since then regarding our Adjustment of Status.

At the same time we filed for Adjustment of Status we filed for Work Authorization. My wife had her Biometrics appointment in January and recieved her Employment Authorization Card about 2 weeks later, which was great.

How long until we hear anything about the Adjustment of Status? Seems like we should have heard by now!

Some people just got approved that had been waiting about a year. it can take a long time. Good news is that you can work and travel with your combo card, and live normally.

8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

seems that your not going to have an inteview. base on Vjer's member experience i've seen here. most of them if they have interview it only takes about less than 3 months to get notify for their upcoming interview.

For those petitions being processed at NBC without an interview ( it appears that yours is probably one of them) there have not been any September approvals as of yet. NBC is currently working on Aug 2012. Hang in there - it looks like probably another month or so - We are still waiting too ---- impatiently I might ad!

after two service request we finally got transferred to local office and interview in june for us. you should do service request

I wonder if your service request actually changed anything. Many people have been doing them and the answer stays the same: WAIT.

Depends on your local office, I guess. Some are busier than others; mine is still not processing my date in September. Frankly, I'd rather wait for the GC to simply arrive in the mail at this point. Waiting 8 months to get an interview? No thank you. no0pb.gif Could have been great 5 months ago, though!

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Filed in October 2012... Did biometrics, got EAD already. If I would have know it would have taken this long, I would have went ahead and filed for the Advanced Parole....
