Dear all,

My wife arrived recently on IR1 category

Immigration officer stamped the I-555 on the visa page but there is no A-number

Also now there is a NEW immigration fee we need to pay to get the GC ..

But without A-number we can't pay it ..

My wife is sure she did not get the A-number in the packet she received from US embassy when she left for US

thanks in advance

regards

arjunan

Did you check the NOA2 for the A# number or the visa itself for it.

You can find her A# on all communications you received from the USCIS during the process. Have a look at your files.

Ok, I did not apply in the US .. We applied in the US Embassy Mumbai ,,

All communication is based on the CASE # which is BMB2012 xxxxxx....

But in the Immigrant Visa there is a "registration # '

is it the A-# ??

But it does not start with any letters ..

it is just 9 or 10 numerical letters

thanks in advance !

If you can't find a A# anywhere in any documentation, bite the bullet and set up a Infopass appointment. The registration numbner is not the A#.
