Hey everyone i am a newbie and do not know what are the requirements for I134 during my fiancee's interview in Manila Embassy?

Ok so here is my situation, I am retired I have 2 kids(20 and 25) they live with me they go to school and the school is paying them because they are using my VA card.

I do not know what proof i should send to my fiancee. Is there a required income for those who are retired?

Proof Proof Proof

I need your help everyone

Big thanks dancin5hr.gif

The income requirements are the same for every petitioner. You have to show you have income that exceeds 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. It doesn't matter if you are retired, you still have to be able to support your fiance when she immigrates to the US. You need to send proof of your monthly and yearly income..like copies of pension check and 1099's and tax returns. Also copies of bank statements and investment account statements, whatever else you have to prove that you have sufficient funds. Good luck

The embassy in Manila only wants your most recent tax return. Now being you are retired its possible your income is not taxable in which case you will need proof of your income, such as bank statements showing monthly deposits, letter from VA/SSA stating your monthly payment.

Here is a link to the I-134C and its instructions.

Your two kids living with you means little if they are not dependents; i.e. you claim them on your tax return. IF your kids are dependents (which I doubt) you would have to include them along with yourself and your fiancee for meeting the 125% I-864P requirements

There is a link in my signature below that will take you to the complete K-1 process in Manila.

Lastly, pop over to the Philippine sub-forum... tons of info.

Yes you must send an original, signed I-134C along with (copies) supporting documentation. If your income meets or exceeds the requirement you do not need to include other assets.

See you in the Philippines sub-forum
