So I've been pretty busy with work and haven't gotten a chance to post yet, but I got notification earlier this week that my I-129F has been approved as of May 20th 2013, and I just received the written notice in the mail today!

Just want to say a few things:

  • My heart goes out to everybody still waiting. I feel like it was a lot of luck getting approved so quickly, but hang in there everyone else. File for e-Requests and Infopasses at appropriate times, stay positive, and do all you can to prepare to build your new life together.
  • Thanks VJ! Part of my quick processing time was definitely luck, but the other part was VJ! Information from the guides and example forms, as well as ideas and help from other VJers meant my petition went through quickly and smoothly with no hickups or RFEs.

Wish me luck as we work through Packet 3 and as I continue to work to save up money so that we can start our new lives together on the right track!
