Who is the "they" you are talking about? Ultimately, it is the judge, and she has already demonstrated no tolerance for the antics of the defense team. Usually the only time a defense team will go to such extraordinary means to pollute the jury pool, is because they don't have either the facts, or the law, on their side.

I can only hope that this trial doesn't because a purely racial trial. We all lose if that happens. Did he murder a kid or defend his own life? I'm not convinced of either.

In a community that is 30-40% Black and 55-60% White, slightly favoring the Republicans countywide last election, I think this will be a fairly impartial jury.

It might not , but if he is found innocent I bet you 50-1 the federal govt steps in with some kind of civil rights charge to appease the masses. Much like the Rodney King cops who were tried twice.

There is already a Federal hate crime action pending the outcome of the Florida trial. Either way, the Feds want their bite of the apple.

LOl maybe and I over simplify, how ever it seems that most of the Media and Minorities have outrage that always breaks along racial lines.

Ray Lewis, Kobe Bryant, O.J. were heroes despite overwhelming evidence of what they did .

As for GZ and TM. I think there is still a lot of truth still yet to come out. I think it is total BS to try to portray this as an innocent little boy being gunned down in cold blood because he is black.

I also am not convinced GZ is being completely honest, but I do not think it was racially motivated.

Man - TM should have punched the 'voice record' button on his HuaWei phone before GZ got too close - then the police would have a complete oral recording of what transpired.

Sheesh - this 'preferred handphone of Thugs in Florida' should have a set of translated instructions.

M'lady, you sure have a way with titillating your audience with words like 'oral' and 'punched,' but nay, the young lass did not hang up. The conversation and call ended when TM and GZ's paths crossed and someone shoved first. Another peculiar piece of evidence that doesn't fit GZ's version of what happened that night, unless TM was able to hold the phone up to his ear with one hand and do a one-hand shove.

I am confident that many jurors will understand that they likely won't be putting themselves in the position old George did i.e. making a series of poor decisions that lead them to shooting someone, or perhaps when the prosecution wraps up its case, seeing themselves deciding to cause a confrontation in hopes of getting to shoot someone as perhaps is more likely what ole George was hoping for.

Good ole George wasn't defending his own home.
