Actually, what is more indicative of any possible racial prejudice GZ might have was the things he said while talking to the dispatcher, and anything in his past that demonstrates it. There was a co-worker of his who complained after GZ repeatedly 'joked' using stereotypes about his ethnicity (I can't remember what it was, but I think he was from India). Then there's a cousin of GZ who says that he has said some racist things about blacks. Also, GZ's older brother, Robert, tweeted some racially offensive material for which he acknowledged was wrong and apologized. Granted, that's his brother, but it was in the context of defending GZ and talking about TM.

I think people misuse the term racist though. To me, a racist is someone who believes a particular ethnicity is inferior genetically. Racial prejudice, on the other hand is when someone thinks, says or acts on racial stereotypes in the way they treat someone from a particular ethnicity. For example, if I believed the Mexicans were lazy and I kept teasing my Mexican co-worker about having to take naps, that's being prejudice. Based on the evidence, it sounds to me that GZ has some racial prejudice about blacks, but I don't think he's a racist.

Remember when the police dispatcher asked Zimmerman if he was following Trayvon? He said yes and then they told him - we don't need you to do that. And then he replied, okay.

Now it was merely a suggestion.

Zimmerman absolutely did the right thing - by not taking this suggestion - and following some random person for no reason whatsoever. That's what any good citizen would do! See someone suspicious? Call the cops, but then make sure to try and do THEIR job and track the guy down! After all, he is neighborhood watch. That is their duty, right? Oh wait, no, it isn't.

lol, wot? Take your army helmet off for a minute and think like a civilian. It's an indication of GZ's culpability in why he and TM ever met each other that night. If you listen to the dispatcher, he kinda sounds a bit miffed by GZ's pretend cop behavior and probably didn't want to egg him on further by talking to him like he were a real cop. But what's ignoring the bigger picture is how much of an ####### GZ sounds like during that phone call with the dispatcher.

Good, then please stop wishing people don't have children.

The simple solution would have been what my dazzling children would have done...wait for the police to come. They aren't doing anything wrong, so just wait for the police, show their ID, wait while the police check things out and then say "thank you goodnight"

There are multiple morals to the story and none have anything to do with race, unless you are a racist.

1. Be the one that testifies in court

2. Do not bash people's heads on the sidewalk

3. wait for the police to come

TM had the power to control what ultimately happened...and he did. His choice is what made the situation good for him or not. Bad choice. If GZ had gotten out of the car, walked up to TM and shot him, that would be different. But you know as well as I do, that is not what happened. When GZ got out of the car her gave the power to determine the outcome to TM. TM had control of the situation. TM decided what happened next. Go one way and you answer a few questions to the police and go on about your evening...the other way you get could get killed. He chose.

This is simply not a racial issue except to racists. It is a simple question of whether YOU have the right to defend yourself when your head is being smashed on the sidewalk. I say yes.

The prosecution just needs to find 12 registered voters in Florida, chosen by GZ, that disagree with me, and get them all in the same room at the same time. 12 people in Florida that think they do NOT have the right to defend themselves when their head is being smashed on the sidewalk.

Should be easy.
