She went to the clinic today. She described it as a "Hi-So" hospital. She felt the staff was looking down on her because she is an Issan girl.

Anyway she got there first thing in the morning. Got signed in, paid the fee, and waited, and waited, and waited. She said many woman came in, were seen and left while she waited. Finally about 4pm someone came out and told her the doctor had left for the day, she would need to come back after the holiday.

She was NOT happy. On the way back home, her bus broke down, she waited two hours for a new bus to show up. I got an ear full when she got home.

I'm not sure what happened, but I am sure she didn't wait quietly. It will be interesting to see what happens on the 2nd visit.

I would keep that receipt if she paid something because nothing was done. I would not be happy either. I went with Pui back in 2011 and we were not asked to pay anything until we were half way through the process of it and I went paid while she was doing the xrays. Also make sure to get a copy of all immuninzations that happen to and bring with to the US so when you do the AOS you do not have to redo the immunizations you just did. Good luck

She is trying to describe to you a hospital she views as for rich people or as Americans say " high society ". She would normally never use a hospital like that.

Why not call the hospital and ask them why she was treated poorly and not taken care of? I have never heard of anything like this happening at the B N hospital. Many of the cases we see here have been thru that hospital without a problem.

I went there myself along with my daughter. We went thru all the tests and were done in about 3 hours. My husband thought they did an incredible job and had a first class operation.

I suggest you call them and speak to the head nurse or the actual doctor telling them you expect her to be treated correctly and get this done for her.

Make sure she is using the first class bus or tell her to take the plane.

She is in Bangkok. She took a intercity bus.

As a general rule I don't get involved in Thai issues. She is an intelligent capable woman. She will be fine on her own. She was just a little tired and frazzled.

The clinic did call yesterday and apologize for the confusion. Reminding her she has already paid and she should return today for exam and tests.

She is on her way back to the clinic right now. I expect a report in a few hours.

My mistake. I thought you wanted to help her with her Thai issues which was the reason for the post.

That is good they called her. I did not expect them to call her so that is good. Hopefully it will go better now. Like Ning said she was there for 3 hours. I know when I went with Pui it took just over 4 hours because we got there at 11am or 12pm and we were the last to leave that day. Good luck.

She's back. Everything finished. She got the sealed packet. They gave her the vaccinations. She is sleeping it off now.

What's the story with the sealed packet. Do we mail that to the Embassy, or take it in with her for the interview?

Take it with her to the interview. Make sure she doesn't open it. Also, they will give her a packet in addition to her passport with the visa after she passes the interview that she has to give to the customs people when she arrives in the U.S. Make sure she doesn't open that either.

I don;t know what they all gave her at the clinic. Does she have a receipt or something to mail in so the Embassy knows she took the medical exam.

They should have given her the results of the medical exam as well as the chest x-ray. She'll bring the medical exam results to the interview with her. As far as I know the hospital doesn't send anything to the embassy.
