I don't see the reason for this constant insistence from certain CSC filers to try to make out that "VSC isn't that far behind, it's not that bad".

VSC is months behind according to USCIS's processing times. CSC is 5 months. VSC is October 15th. Plus Igor's List data shows we are getting October/November approvals, CSC is getting January/Feb. Your understanding of Igor's List is flawed. It even states underneath that no month will likely ever reach 100%, due to RFE's or members not updating their timelines.

You cannot add and multiply percentages. You need to use the raw data to prove the point you are trying to make. There might be only 1 out of 2 approved of 50 out of 100 approved in any giving month. Just saying 50% is not a clear representation of this data.

Yes, like I say, it isn't perfect, and is just a rough estimation. I welcome anybody who wants to use the raw numbers instead to arrive at a more accurate figure. I just don't have the time to do so.

I think it's just the fact seeing that the CSC approves a lot of people within a time frame of 3-4 months and they just skip mid/late 2012 filers so that they can keep their goal. The VSC on the other hand didn't even start to approve 2013 petitions except of a hand full that have their own reasons (e.g. expidite). And this is in my opinion the BIG difference to both service centers no matter how many approvals they may have less in 2012 - fact is that they started to approve 2013 petitions like crazy!

Thank you! My fiancé and I are very happy that the RFE was dealt with quickly. Good luck on your journey! If it is any relief, I want to let you know that I had checked the past several years of posted processing times for CSC, and this July 18th fiasco was the first time that CSC had posted beyond the USCIS goal in years :)

Yes, that is very encouraging, and thank you. Hopefully that means CSC will stay within the 5 month timeframe from here on out and that the July 18th thing was a one time deal due to DACA.

If you go by the USCIS' processing times, then it is 2 months difference.

Actually it was July 18th for the bulk of this year for CSC. But it was updated a couple of days ago.

The theory is that the national DACA mandate was given entirely to CSC to work on, creating a backload. Once it was decided that other service centers should handle the remaining workload out of fairness, then CSC played catch up. They now say 5 months. I say 6 months due to the backlog that still remains and the illusion created by skipping over a large portion of it. Either way, we will get there in a few weeks as long as CSC keeps churning out approvals at the current rate. Once they do, I suspect, as others have stated, they will slow down a bit, but hopefully stay within 5 months.

Some VSC members in this forum have complained, saying that CSC should have continued handling all the DACAs. This thread was an effort to eliminate the animosity between members by pointing out that they are not as hopelessly far behind and there is no reason to believe that once they are done with DACAs (which I believe somebody said they were), then it won't be long before they begin to show a similar catchup effort as well.

We are all in this together. And should be encouraging one another rather than wishing our service center's problems on others.

Skip the maths. All I see is CSC is processing people in FEBRUARY and NSC is not. I am a February Filer at Vermont and it ain't looking pretty. You can #######-ize these graphs till your black n blue it just piles the agony on the waiting. That said I do look at them every other day and pile on the agony. HaHaHa, helps to laugh

That's the thing though. VSC is standing in line waiting for a long long time and a lot of CSC 2013 filers are getting lucky and jumping to the front. It really isn't fair from either end.

Yes, I do agree that the way CSC is handling their caseloads is unfair. They should process their petitions in order.
