I still live at home with my mother, does that create a problem with this form? Also it asks for how much money I have in savings. Do i need to prove a bank statement showing what i have? I dont have much but its over 10,000. I make over 50,000 a year. Is that ok?

as long as your income is sufficient you will not need to prove any other assets

I'm not 100% sure, but you may need to make enough for a 3 person household if you're living with your mom. Your salary, however is sufficient enough for a 3 person household (enough for a family of 8 to be honest).

Include a copy of your tax return or tax transcript, employment verificatoin letter or 3 most current pay stubs. I included a letter from my bank stating my current amount in savings and checkings. A copy of your monthly bank statement would be ok, and your bank can actually stamp it to verify it.

best of luck

Anything you put in the form, provide supporting documentation that proves it (if you say you have $10000 in savings account, provide a statement. If you say you make $50000 a year, provide employer letter, payment stubs, tax records). Just putting something on the form proves absolutely nothing and they will not accept it as valid evidence without supporting documentation.

Hi, you need to make a salary above the poverty line, so you should be fine. It doesn't matter if you're living with your mom or not, what matters is that you have a place to live, and that you have enough to cover any necessities. They'll want bank statements from the end of 2012, and 2013, and a letter from the bank would always help, stating when you opened your bank account, how much you have deposited in the last year, and how much you have in your checking and savings accounts. Any information provided on the i-134 form will need back up. For instance you need to include tax returns, pay stubs and an original W2 form for 2012 and pay stubs from 2013 to support the salary you said u make on the I-134 form. I also recommend a letter from your employer stating your job responsibility and title, how long you've been working there how many hours u work a week and how much u get paid. Don't forget to include any proof of life insurance, assets and stocks as well. These are important because if you lose your job immigration wants to know that you can support the beneficiary through other means. For example your car is an asset, you can bring a copy of the title of ownership and a copy of your insurance, if you lose your job they know u can sell your car for money. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

whatever you plan to use to support your fiancee needs to go on that form, so if your salary is enough for two of you (your mom is not really their concern unless you are providing for her then it will be 3 of you), then that is all that is needed, just provide tax return and employment info but if you wanna use your bank savings or other assets then put it on that form along with documentation showing what you have, but in my understanding that is not necessary unless your salary alone is not enough to cover poverty level

Do i have to have a lot of money in my savings? I only have $2500

It really depends on the income you make in a year . Depends on the household and what level your at on the I134 . I don't think you need to include a bank statement . I hide all my cash under my mattress ! Just kidding , but it's safe to include any bit of information to help meet the requirements . I was told you need to send a copy to the service center of your location . A copy then goes with your beneficiary at the interview . I would think once at the service center and if its good to go then the counsler officer already knows its good . In 2009 when we went to the interview we sat down for 3 minutes and they said thank you . All the work for that , but hey it's done !

Goodluck

God Bless

Your mother is not included in your household count unless you claim her as a dependent on your taxes. Living in the same house does not automatically make someone part of your household size. The I-864 instructions have good details about how to count your household size.

If you make enough to meet the requirement with just your income(and $50k is more than enough), then there is no need to list assets at all. They are not required. You can leave that portion of the I-134 blank.
