I filed feb 22nd and my case is at NBC. I can't see my case online so decided to call and check on the status.

After waiting on hold for 2 hours(assuming I talked to a Tier 2 rep), he told me that there is a "gleeetch" in the USCIS system that's not allowing the status to show online and that they are aware of it and working on it. He said to wait at least 2 more months before calling. He said average wait times are 4-5 months. He did assure me my case was in the system. Total waste of time calling these guys..didn't tell me anything I didn't know.

They aren't working on it! I think they say that to make you feel better. The "gleeetch" lol is that they don't bother to do the update in the part of their system that shows online for us poor souls who are waiting for updates.

I was not able to see any of our cases at any point while we were at USCIS until the day the petitions were approved. It could never find any of our files until that day. I just happened to check one day after giving up a couple weeks earlier and there we were approved! Your time will come soon! Even if it doesn't show up on their site!

your case should have been transferred to your local office by now.. very few are retained and reviewed by the nbc.. if it is at the local office you can always do an infopass to inquire about the status

well, they said it is not transferred to any othe rplace. So wondering whts happening with mine

Same thing here. .filed on march 7...cant see any updates on the web. So I called USCIS multiple times..they also said there was something wrong with the site.

I was also told that average time for approval is 5 months. So I need to wait

sorry to hear that, but like they said it is about five months or so...

i would keep calling every week if you can to do a status check since you cant see it online. The good thing is that the cr answering the phone cant see it either, so they will have to transfer you to an IO.. good luck, you are getting close

just curious..are u staying abroad with beneficiary? looks like u got approved faast with I 130.

nope, am here in the states.. regular filing and just got lucky with an office with minimal 130 petitions.

problem now is that my case has gone into the black hole between uscis and nvc.. almost 6 weeks and has not shown up.

I have heard many say that. Even if they get I 130 approved fast, they have to wait for NVC or for an interview date. If the 130 is delayed like 6 months or so, they get faster through NVC.

In other words, the whole processing time can take anywhere ffrom 6 to 8 months. It doesnot matter if u get approved fast or not.

I filed my I-130 in October and its at the NBC . I haven't heard nothing and when I called I was just told to wait.
