What is everyone doing for thanksgiving?

I love Thanksgiving! :content:

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow! It's so fun getting together with my relatives, and the food is always scrumptious. I'm really thankful to have a wonderful family. I wish Sujeet's family could be a part of it though.

We're going to my aunt and uncle's house tomorrow(along with the rest of the family).

I'm making filling for Indian samosas later today, and when Sujeet gets home from work he'll help me make the dough for the outside and fry them, since he is much much better at that part than me!

After I met Sujeet, I started experimenting making Indian food. So it's become a new tradition, since the last 4 years or so, for me to bring something Indian to every family holiday. And since Sujeet coming over a couple years ago, it's even better tasting stuff since he's the real expert on it and he has taught me a lot more. So we're bringing samosas tomorrow. :D Everyone loves them at the holidays.

I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving and weekend (if you have the 4 day weekend like many do)!!

Is there a Mongolian restaurant close by to you which will sell "wrappers"? These work MUCH better (nicer shape, finish, taste) and use much less oil than shells made with all-purpose flour. Used heavily by desi restaurants in Calgary (but not in the more backward--for desis anyway--Eastern Canada).

I like Thanksgiving because it's a day off and I like any day off. We will be having dinner at my parents place. Hopefully no turkey cuz turkey sucks.

No way, turkey is great!!

I don't think there are any Mongolian restaurants around. I could buy wonton type wrappers at the store but to me it doesn't taste as good.

Working. How's that?

working? :(

Try your nearest east asian supermarket.

There is an asian store nearby, with a lot of Filipino/Korean/Vietnamese stuff in it. But I don't have time to go buy that anyway... :P I will check for next time though.

Tomorrow is my youngest son's birthday too!. It is also Mian's first Thanksgiving in the states and we are planning on a traditional dinner for later in the day when he get's off work. Roasted turkey, cornbread dressing, yam casserole, green beans, rolls and birthday cake.

Kids and I will watch the Macy's parade, then have lunch and small party later in the day. :D

Hope eveyone has a great day tomorrow.
