Notice of Interview Cancellation

Currently in AOS process and my status was updated online that my interview has been cancelled. Did a search here and seems no new threads on this topic since 2011.

Seems advice back then was to go to the originally scheduled interview in case it was a mistake? Can anyone give me any current information about this?

It actually works in our favor that the interview is being re-scheduled as our original date fell on a day which would be very hard to make. But we also don't want to be considered "no shows" and have our file closed or denied.

I appreciate any information/advice!

you probably want to read this post.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/51171-i-485-denied-didnt-go-to-the-cancelled-interview/

this vjer member follow the notice for not showing off because of his cancellation notice and got his/her I-485 denied for not showing at his/her interview. well i guess even with the cancellation notice. it's better to attend than be sorry. if they really cancel it, atleast you tried and didn't missed your interview.

Thanks for the info.

We were scheduled for June 26th in Baltimore, MD. You?

Have you heard anything else? I did receive the official cancellation letter but nothing so far about a newly scheduled interview. My husband and I are going to either call or set up an infopass appointment. June 26th is possibly the worst day that we could of gotten our interview.... so we really don't want to take time off... go down there.. only to be turned away and have to take more time off when the new schedule time comes around.

yes, same day when they update my status online..which is weird lol

they send me letter letting us know that my husband AOS interview was move from june 18 to june 24.

but still we are still planning to attend the june 18 interview. if they told us that the interview was move then that's fine...atleast we try to prevent for getting denied for not showing up like the other Vjer member.

one thing i'm worry about...i'm currently pregnant with twins..twins don't go full terms (40wks)

usually between 32 to 37wks...uugghh i am 32 wks now...by june 24 i'm about 36wks...i'm praying that god will let me have my babies after we get over with this AOS interview.

hopefully soon they will mail you your new interview date. goodluck!!!

If you don't want to try that appointment, then don't.

it is true that some people have had problems with a false denial, but that problem can be solved. It's not fun to solve, it involves a lot of calling and figuring it out, but they will have a record that your appointment was cancelled. You can work it out.

Since this sounds like an online scheduling error anyway (the online scheduling is only a year or two old), then I wouldn't personally expect any problems.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
