I have been obsessive on this website with other peoples timelines and it seems like it makes no difference for us in Tirana. I can't understand why it would take 2 months to get an interview!!! When was your NVC complete date? I have anxiety just thinking about waiting another 2 months for a date. I called the NVC today and the guy told me that I am very unlikely to get a July interview date. Unreal!

I think that this is related to the electoral situation in Albania,,,, why not schedule a date which interview could be two months later, and not scheduling date after 2 months ??!!!!!!!!protest6wz.gif

Ughhhhhh my husband just told me about the elections. I didn't know and still don't think it should affect us. They vote June 23rd. When did you file your petition? I really can't believe that my 1 year anniversary is next month and I don't have an interview date yet. Literally going nuts. I am so close yet feel like just picking up and going there until it's over.

Ohhh wow! I am sorry. I really wish us both luck!!! I get frustrated when I see people who filed 5 months after me already have interviews. This is a crazy waiting game. I am on the phone with NVC twice a day. :(

A friend of mine at work did the I 130 for his mother. He is like 2 months ahead of us in the process and he told me ,month an half from case completion they give the interview date. So keep the hope high.....

A month and half from completion? would mean that I won't get an interview until July and it most likely will be for August or September. I call NVC every day and they tell me the same thing. I am extremely annoyed. We are basically no comparison to other consulate timelines on here which is probably why Albania members are not really active on VJ.

Noooo.He told me 45 days from case completion is the interview date. So hopefully you get an date this week.If you don't get it,two things..Or the elections in Albania or everybody on NVC is in vacation.I am waiting for over a year now,and NVC is telling me they don't have a procedure how to review the I864!!!! Unbelivible

I am frustrated and been really upset with the NVC attitudes on the phone. From reading the forums it seems as though when people from other countries and consulates call, they give them approximations, or even tell them today or tomorrow or give them something!! ANYTHING!! They literally hang up the phone as soon as I say OK when they tell me NO, YOU MUST WAIT FOR A INTERVIEW TO BE SCHEDULED. YOU WILL GET A NOTIFICATION! I emailed my congressman and they called me today and have a meeting tomorrow at 10am. They told me to bring my file. I HOPE he can do something. I PRAY!!! I really would be patient but the NVC responses to me telling me that I am highly unlikely of seeing an interview until August or September just kills me. I will keep you posted on the outcome.

Congressman's office took my file and said that if i don't hear back from them in 2 weeks to give them a call. Assistant told me they are going to look into what is going in in Tirana, Albania. Will keep posting.
