WE received notice that our petion was approved, NOA2 May 22. Will NVC notify me when they receive the packet, and will they notify me when it is sent to the embassy in Manila? Or, do I have to call them?

They will not notify you when they receive it but you will receive a notice in the mail after they send your case to them embassy. You can call the NVC to see if it has arrived and to receive your new case number. Once your have your embassy case number you can check your case status on the CEAC site to see when it arrives at the embassy. Also, I BELIEVE that for your embassy you can schedule your interview appointment at the consulate using your case number before receiving the instructional packet by mail.

In my case, it took 13 days from NOA2 approval for my case to arrive at the NVC, 4 days to be sent out to the consulate, and then it arrived a week later.

Best of luck!

Congradulations on your NOA2!!! Do NOT wait for NVC to notify you. Our notification came after she already had her medical and her interview was a week away. You should call NVC a couple of times a day and ask if you have been issued a Manila case number.

NVC may tell you to call back in a week or two. Thank them and call back later that day, the next day, etc. until you receive that Manila case number. As soon as you have that number you can pay your visa fee, schedule your interview, then schedule with St Lukes for your medical. We lucked out and had her interview about one month after our NOA2 date.

As for notification of the packet arriving in Manila, we never received notification of that. I called NVC every couple of days until they told me they shipped it, then i called the embassy to ensure they received it.

Congratulations ! I'm from MINN, most of my relatives are. My fiance is also Philipino. (Keith&Alma). Best of wishes.

Did you do anything special for the fast approval?

Yes, turned it over to God, and waited!!
