i guess girls should show a little of aggressiveness.. but not too aggressive to the point that it might give them an impression of being an arrogant

show that she's not submissive or what.. . in short, being confident! :)

This is not new to some of us Filipinos... I know... there are really people who would look at you and see if you are a timid person or wat... then if they confirmed that, boom! the more that they will ask for more and would try to turn u down.. it's their way to see how a girl can defend herself... something like that..

I just want to share a story.

Most people, would think that I am only a kid... because I am very small and I don't really look like a 24 years old.. (which also bothers me by the time I go to CFO)

So some people would try to make fun of me or joke or whatever.. But when they ask me a question and I answer...The suddenly became quiet... and tends to listen to me.. rofl.gif That's when they realize that they are not talking to a kid.

How did I do that? When I speak, my voice is normally loud that some won't believe that how small I am, my voice is loud! lol.

So when I speak, I speak firmly and seriously and look at them into their eyes.. then they kept quiet and listens to me..

It's like I tend to became a driver in the conversation... but I let them speak too...

I have a friend.. she is older than me but she is verrrrryyyyyy sweeeeetttt... you know like when she speaks and walks she is really feminine.. her voice is very soft... you know what makes her sad? Her officemates tends to mock on her, gossips about her etc etc... she asked me about what am I doing when talking to people where they tend to listen to me and just say "yes ma'am" or obey me. LOL! (she asked me that because she actually witnessed on how a person talked to me and I made that person obeyed to me lol)

So I told her maybe she can raise her voice a little and speak firmly and show to them some confidence esp when she speaks. So she did what I said... and she told me it was effective for her because suddenly those people who were mocking on her tend to shut their mouth.lol

This might help but this might not apply to all as well.. I'm just sharing my story. smile.png

To my fellow Filipinas, you know how the senators speaks?? like how serious they are... lol.. speak as if you are running for a senator... for example,, chiz escudero. notice how he speaks and seems to be serious in what he is saying... his voice is not loud but he is firm whenever he speaks (though we don't really know what all the senators are doing lol)... I am not his fan lol. but just observe.. also notice Grace Poe... she tends to speak now like chiz. rofl.gif they speak in a low tone of voice but you will notice there is a conviction or confidence when they speak.. (idk if u notice the same thing)..

You just said she was not able to answer stuff about the greencard, expiration, when to file again, forms needed to submit... It means she didn't pay attention to the lectures. The answers for those are in the lectures.

If your fiancee was able to answer those questions from the first time she was asked, after the lecture, one one one counselling won't be needed anymore.

The CFO people wanted your fiancee to know those things so that she'll have knowledge about the legal way of staying in the USA, and not to be out of status...

Does the one on one interview during CFO Seminar really hard? Everybody will really undergo one on one interview?

Thanks!

hi, not everyone goes into one on one interview. Usually its group counselling. But if you have red flags such as multiple divorce, physical abuse as a reason for divorce and huge age gap, They might one to talk to you one on one and ask you questions about your petitioner. You must answer them correctly and confidently. Dont let them see that you are unsure.

In my case, After the group counselling and lecture, my certificate and sticker was released. No more questions asked. Other filipinas were told to schedule their one on one counselling and bring stuff like divorce decree or pictures, affidavit of support....

Everyone had to do the one on one when my wife was at CFO.... what a difference a year makes.

Yes, i agree..I did mine in Cebu October 2011. I remember on the one on one interview, the nun who first introduced herself on the lecture that she is a Psychologist, ask me about how did we meet..So, i started talked and she is watching my gestures while listening our story, taking side notes..Then i stopped talking, but the nun told me to keep talking...Well, i have lots of stories to tell about us, so i keep talking until she switched to another question..hahaha..It turned out to be a casual talk and later she told me that only few people have a good heart like me..

They will only ask you about your petitioner and your love story? or they will also ask you about the things that you need to do once you're already in the US?
