Have you tried calling the consulate? Why in the world would she open it if it was clearly marked "Do Not Open"? At best you'll have to send it back and the consulate will most likely have to re-seal it. Hope you get this resolved soon.

Please advise, my Finace opened the letter that says "Do not open", we emailed the consulate but havent heard anything else, please advise on what needs to be done, how long it takes, and if its a difficult process.

Thanks for yor help!

i opened mine before accidentally, what i did is i go back to the embassy and i get it back after one hour. but in my case i dont open it all the way but if you open the whole thing i think you have to wait for 3 days to 7 days. try to go to the embassy and tell them what happened. but your fiancee needs to make a letter too on what happened.

In all past post I have read for ones making this mistake. You must return to the embassy and have it resealed. The previous post i have read also say that entry into the US would be denied at POE.

This is only a recount of my reading previous post and the experience of others.
