Hello Everyone,

I am curious to see how many people here are filling for their relative from Mexico and about how long has the process taken so far?

I just submitted my paperwork last week on Friday and I got the email today that my I-130 was sent to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing. I was juts wondering how long has the process taken for other people from Mexico. I have been told by different people that it usually takes longer for people filling for someone from Mexico, but I do not know if this is true. Does anyone know anything about this?

thank you,

Linda

i think it is somewhat different for everyone. i filed my i-130 in August and just got an RFE in May. However for some i have seen they get approved at around 6 months, so i think it just depends actually. but good luck either way. smile.png

File my husband I 130 on feb. 25 th 2013.. still waiting on noa 2.. heard it can take up to a year. My uncle.brought his fiancee, and his step daughters within 8 months!! He hired a immigration lawyer. He is not a Us citizenx but a green card holder. Hoping that maybe since i am.a US Citizen it can go faster??

i know it's not the same but . . . i applied for an ir2 visa. took 5 months to receive RFE, i took 3 months to reply. I had an interview 3 months letter in the field office, 2 more months to receive reply from USCIS. Never knew i needed to really follow up with a govt agency, but i learned the hard way.

case eventually sent to NVC, waited on them, they waited on me. 2.5 years later i got her visa (stepdaughters).

It doesn't really depend on the fact if you are from Mexico or not, the processing times are different to everyone, in my case it took almost 1 year from Noa1 to the interview date. We had no RFE at any part of the process. Now it seems to be a little faster since the cases are sent to the National Benefits center and not to California or Vermont service centers, like a year ago.

You will need a lot of patience no matter what, but hopefully your process will go quick.
