this argument is really a waste of time. Complaining on here isn't going to get VSC moving again. both service centers are going to go through cycles... but I for one, having tracked their progress for the past 5 months have to say that despite the processing times at VSC I would not want to switch my petition to CSC. While Vermont is approving random petitions out of order for the most part they have been advancing month by month. At CSC the only reason Dec and Jan filers are approved at the rates they are is because Oct and Nov were skipped and were gotten back to later in an attempt to lower the processing average...they got what they wanted because their "posted" time is now the 5 month goal. CSC just a month ago was a mess and the only reason it's been put in motion again is because people voiced their frustration. If us VSC filers want to see quicker movement we need to make ourselves heard. I'll be writing my congressmen and senators this weekend and calling VSC again but we won't be listened to unless we all speak up.

I was advised by my attorney not to contact my congressman. This may delay processing because they may "pull my file." Should not we law abiding, tax paying, US citizens live without fear of threats and retribution from some government agency? Is anybody paying attention to the IRS scandal? That said, still a long wait ahead.

That's not true as many people on this forum can attest to. Contacting your lawmakers is not a sure way to get the NOA2, it may not help at all but in some cases it does. It will in no way affect your case negatively. If fact I called VSC on Monday and he told me that scheduling an Infopass or contacting my congressmen were his suggestions... That being said I don't think i would try contacting them before 5 months, not because they could pull your file but because i don't think you'll be successful until you've been waiting over the average amount of time. But for all of us that passed the 5 month mark while VSC still had a 5 mo posting time I think we still have a valid argument for complaint. Like you said we pay taxes and freedom of speech is a principal this country was founded on. USCIS cannot take action against you for bringing complaints against them to your senator or congressman.

As of 5/23/2013 at 9pm...VSC has had one approval for the day...if this is your idea of "moving" I want some of your kool-aid....sad.png

Vj approval does not equal to USCIS approval. Only account ten percent of all petitioners( not calculating both couple registed and setup timelines)

For god's sake, it's not a business, it's the government. If government were run like business, we wouldn't have a $16 trillion debt right now, so please stop trying to compare it to one.

You won't comprehend my point because you don't want to. My point is that BOTH service centers work on their own time structures set up by the management in place at each and they are not coordinated. If one gets overloaded, they can get files transferred to another service center and yes that's where the connection lies between service centers and the main offices, but service centers are set up to process applications. Each center is run separately because each center has a different total of varying types of cases. It's up to each individual center to decide what is prioritized and what is not.

You complain about October filers left behind at VSC and complain that CSC is on February, but CSC people make the EXACT same complaint, because there are many OCT/NOV filers there who have been passed over for the randomness of their approval process. It's very similar although they are ahead of you, they have skipped quite a few filers to be able to do those 2013 cases. None of this changes what is happening at VSC. Just like nothing that happens at VSC changes what's going on at CSC.

I understand the frustration, It's not like I didn't feel the same when I watched CSC at a near standstill. I do hope that VSC gets it's act together and gets moving again. It will eventually, but maybe, just maybe you can read a post to the end and see what I've posted here a dozen times already, and that is the fact that pressuring the SPECIFIC service center is the only way to get any action out of that Service center. It can help, and has helped in the past.

You seem to have got serious "Me" issues and can only see what you want, so do continue with that if it makes you feel better, or get proactive and actually do something to make the situation better.

How many OCt /Nov CSC filers are passed over and how many VSC filers are passed over at this point in time? Do you think it is close in comparison? Do you feel VSC is not "far off " from CSC filers? ...Do you agree that VSC is looking at 6-8 months of waiting?

This is depressing me when I see january and february filers getting approved at csc and vsc is all over! sad.png praying...

NA01 02/06/2013 this should not be depressing you at all . If anything you should be very pleased with this move . Confusing as it is it would appear they moved only Dec and Jan to other centers . I have seen no Feb moved at all . They seem to be working on Oct and Nov filers at VSC . Depending on how many Dec and Jan were kept at VSC we should still see faster processing times now . How much time we will save as Feb NA01 dates remains to be seen . Still very good news for everyone who has a petition at those dates .

It's been more than a year since the last post in this thread... does anyone who was waiting so long want to reply and let us know how things went? It would be beneficial to me and others to hear your story and learn from your experiences.

Cheers!
