See, here in America, unlike perhaps where you are from, our government has a history of investing in methods of transportation, because of the magnitude it has on the economy. You probably didn't even realize it, but every time you drive in your gas burning car, you are a direct beneficiary of government investment in oil exploration. But hey, if you really are against such investments, go outside and burn your car. Start riding a bicycle ...oh wait, the roads...those roads were also government investment. Dude, your SOL.

I guess u were in haste to respond and u did not read complete post.

Govt can have favourable laws, tax laws etc to help a industry.

Govt's job is not to loan money to a particular company coz they made poor decision or they entered market at wrong time or they have wrong product.

Roads are investment?? Whats ROI?

According to whom? Is this some sort of unwritten edict you just made up to satisfy your argument? History is not on your side, my foreign born brother. Welcome to America. Become acclimated to the way we do things here. You are welcome, but don't try to force your ways upon us. We are America!

So if you have to travel 800 miles you will plan a 4 day trip?

ohhhh hold on u r smart one, you will strap a generator on back of your car (which still burns gasoline)

There are no laws in the United States that direct anyone willing to travel 800 miles that they should take an automobile of any kind. In fact, the entire airline industry relies on the paradigm that most will chose to travel by air when covering such distances. Others might consider taking bus or even a train.

It is almost as though there is no one-size-fits-all answer to your question, is it not?

QED.

India is so socialist that they have the word "socalist" in the preamble of their constitution.

Harsh's point of view is not a function of where he's from, it's a function of all the Ayn Rand he's been reading.

Well sh!t. He needs to read some Mark Twain, Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson - all great American thinkers.

I never said anything about laws in my post but its ok u r still waking up.

So one can have 60k electric car but its worthless when one wants to make 800 mile trip same time one can have 25k gas driven car but can easily take it on 800 mile trip.

He should but Site Administration should require him to wear a sticker on his profile that says "not american".

I remember them talking about whether to have the person post in their profile whether they are the petitioner or the beneficiary. That's one way to weed out all the foreigners around here.
