Frustrated at work 'cause I haven't a clue what I'm doing.

My boss has taken since March to hire my replacement after he promoted me, and she's still not here. We've been waiting for about a month now for HR to get a new rep in place to even make the freaking offer. I hope the person we picked out is still available by the time we get to offer her the job. My boss swears she'll be here before the end of the year, but I go on vacation December 18th for the rest of the year, and I can just see her sitting up here feeling exactly like that. I hope they get her hired by the end of next week so I can at least teach her a little before leaving her alone for the rest of the year.

That is so sucky about the drain pipe. Have you talked to a plumber to get a quote to fix it? It might not be as expensive to fix as you're imagining, especially if you guys dug around the pipe for the plumber and he just had to fix it. He should just be able to cut out the piece of damaged pipe and put in a new piece with straight connectors at each end rather than having to dig up the entire pipe.

Congrats to Meriem and Angel. I wouldn't want to be you having to move this time of year. I've done it before and it's not fun. I guess the thrill of having the house will make it worth it though.

I found a way to solve one my problems and reduce my stress level. I "casually" emailed Moh the phone number to DOS and said it was "just in case he had a question and didn't want to wait for me to call them". He called them twice yesterday. WALLA! He can make them crazy now and not me. Whee... I win!

hello everyone. just stoppin in quickly. we are having a little family thing for 'lebanons independence; independence my behind! we had dinner and now are gonna smoke some of my favvvvvvvvvv. i cant wait to take one home so i can smoke it with all my friends......yeeehaww. down to 12 days left.

happy Thanksgiving for you all tomorrow. we will go to Pierre Gemayel's funeral tomorrow and spend the day in his hometown, just 5mins up the road.....................RIP

Well "you guys" = me and to dig around the pipe will involve a jackhammer since it's imbedded in teh concrete floor. I got a quote of $10,000 give or take a few hundred dollars from two different plumbers so I'm just taking my chances and dealing with the annual flooding for now. As soon as the market goes back up in a few years I'm puttin' this puppy on the market and gettin' the heck outta dodge!

Man o man, I'm so antsy. I'm getting off at 2:30. Lunch is in 20 minutes. Why oh why didn't I take this day off? Not that I would have been able to leave for the epic family thanksgiving get together today, since I have class tonight, but dang, I don't want to be at work right now.

Made my chocolate chip pound cake last night for the family gather. It was very hard not to cut a piece for breakfast today. Mmm, chocolate.

That is wrong! They should not schedule class the night before Thanksgiving! We had to run all over campus in the rain last night so I could meet with my professor so I wouldn't have to do that tonight. He made it clear that he was only taking appointments yesterday, even if he had to stay late, but he wasn't coming in tonight.

We have to clean the kitchen tonight so I can cook tomorrow. I'm making most of the family meal this year so I'll be in the kitchen all day tomorrow. I hope the weather is better so Abdel can work in the yard if he wants so he doesn't get too bored, but they are saying to expect more cold rain so I doubt it.
