Copying Documents (Front & Back)

Quick Question,

I am filing my i-130 and i-485 - 90% done and hopefully sending off this Friday. However it says you should copy both birth certificates and marriage certificate front and back.

However I'm from the UK (Birth Certificate is only one sided) and my USC Wife's birth certificate is also one sided. We got married in CA so again, certified marriage certificate is one sided.

Is it necessary to submit both sides (I have copied them) as it seems silly and pointless in the application to submit what are blank pages - but I am trying to go "by the book...?"

If the backs are literally blank, then yeah - don't bother. A white sheet of paper will still be white when you've copied it! I think they say "front and back" in regards to some documents that may indeed be double-sided, just to make sure folks don't leave anything important out.

We send copies only from the sides that had information on it, we had no RFE or other problems.

This reminds me of a long thread several years ago on the same subject. It was a huge debate. Some were insisting a blank paper should be submitted. Others were going to make a note with "back side of my birth certificate written on it. That is insane.

u dont need the banc since they are blank page
