BREAKING: Soldier dead in the UK after Islamist terrorist attack

Man, my mistake, I thought I entered a thread discussing a dead soldier and a terrorist attack, not people complaining about forum moderation for page after dull page.

As for the actual topic in question, considering these two men were clearly seeking attention and publicity (running up and down the street, the cameras, the 'interview', etc), the media really should try and starve them of that oxygen. It's the same with a lot of attacks, terrorist or otherwise - these unstable people see the amount of publicity given and want a piece of it. In this case it was more blatant, though. If the focus was shifted away from them personally the incentive to carry out these atrocities lessens significantly, but sadly I can't see it happening because it sells papers, gets bums on seats and the like. A tricky situation.

All I know for sure is there will be a backlash from the dumb and the ignorant, as is always the case.

Go ahead and cut lose. After you have been here a while you will understand all the fuss.

Islamic terrorism stinks.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

How about all terrorism and violence in general stinks.

It's a terrible thing to be killed in such a gruesome way in front of so many people, no matter who the victim is and who did the killing.

Too bad no death penalty in UK. A lifetime in solitary confinement isn't fitting for these guys, they're already batsh*t.

I didn't say that. Let's be clear about that, I don't want to get banned again.

You don't have to say anything. If you did not have any communication with mods regarding my post, you would not be violating TOS by stating that you did not. Seeing you would be violating TOS by answering whether or not you reported it, then the only answer is yes. That's pretty lame AJ, you could've just sent me a pm. I'll keep in mind how thin skinned you are with my future posts.

Of course all terrorism, all violence is deplorable, but what seems to be apparent, is that many Muslims throughout the world, regard the war in Afghanistan, or the military presence in Iraq, as battle against Islam. These killers in London identify more with their Muslim brethren in Afghanistan than they do with their fellow British citizens, and that I find troubling. IMO, your loyalty to the country you live in, it's laws and society, should not be undermined by your religious convictions to the point that you disregard them. There's also a bit of irony that these killers are living in a country they weren't born in, while complaining about others not belonging in other countries. An eye for an eye and whole world would go blind.

Nationalism is haram, that's why. They are all brothers and sisters of the Ummah. That is what their religion requires of them.

Oh, really? So then, how do they explain Muslim on Muslim violence?

Most already do.

I'm sure they do. However, it seems that there are many who don't and that is troubling. Are these just disgruntled individuals or are they getting spoon fed this violent rhetoric?

There's a reason there is so much more Islamic extremism among the native Muslim populations of Europe than in other parts of the world where Muslims are also a minority, like Canada or the US or South Africa. Every Muslim with an Internet connection has access to the oil-money funded Wahabi poison that is available online. But Muslims in certain parts of the world are more likely to be receptive to that message. Have you wondered why?
