NOA2 -> Embassy in 3.5 weeks?

I received NOA2 2 weeks ago. I've been researching the board, and it seems I would expect a package to get to the Moscow embassy within about 3.5 weeks from NOA2 approval. When I call NVC automated support (option 1) with my "WAC" receipt number, it continues to tell me the office has not received anything. If it's already been two weeks since approval, and the board posting show about 3.5 weeks from NOA2 -> Embassy package receipt, then I get the impression I might have hit a delay.

I wanted to throw this out there to make sure my understanding of timelines is correct before I try to speak to an NVC operator. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Two things.

First the automated line wont have info in I-129F cases you either need to email them at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov or call them and get an oprerator.

It takes CSC 2-4 weeks to send cases to NVC after NOA2 (They dont send them every day but sends them every week or so in a truck load), then NVC takes up to 4 weeks to send on to Consulate.

Wait about 2 weeks from the NOA2 date.

Call NVC every 2 or 3 days from that 2 week mark.

You must talk with a live person. Automated does not work for K1.

Once you have a number, ask the person on the phone to please verify your information in the computer and also what date it left NVC.

Use that date and follow your package using DHL. The DHL instructions are on the VJ site.

With all this you will know the exact date your package is at the embassy.

Go ahead now and prepare your I-134 and also have your fiancee prepare their papers on the other end.

Hope this helps and answers your question.
