We are in the process of getting documents ready for submitting our K1 packet and I have a question about her name change. We have the Document that she received in Malaysia, but its written Malay. Do we need to get it translated? or should a copy of the original document be fine for the K1.

If I do need to get a translated, who or where could it be done, not asking for an address, just in general and could it be done here in Chicago

I did a quick search and could not find what I was looking for, sorry if this post if its been talked about before.

All documents not in English need to be translated. You send a copy of the original and the original signed translation.

Would my Fiancée, need to sign the Document or could I have here send a copy of the Document and get an official translated document to send with the K1?
