Would NVC notify us with email or send us a letter in the mail when our K-1 process is completed? Or do we just have to keep calling them? Our K-1 has been sitting at NVC since May 9. We don't understand why our file is taking longer at the NVC. They said our case is under administrative process. We see cases left NVC to the local consulate in 3-4 days of their arrival at the NVC. We already have our case number yet the file is still at NVC. We are very worry at this point.

We went into AP at NVC. It can be just a random check. It took two weeks for it to come out of AP and be forwarded to our Embassy. NOA2 18 April, NVC received 23 April, sent to Embassy 10 May, received by Embassy 13 May, 'package 3' letter sent 17 May.

Don't be too worried. Just keep phoning NVC each day or check your status using your case number here - https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

Thanks for the advice. We would keep calling like you said. I entered our case number on www.ceac.state.gov the website doesn't show any information. Here is what the website showed:

An unexpected error has occurred while processing your previous request. The error has been reported to the site administrator; no further action is required.

Yes - it's just done that for me too. It must be a glitch - it was fine yesterday. It was showing that our case was 'ready'.

It's working again.

Yesterday morning there was a problem with the site I got the same message. In the afternoon it said ready. I called DOS at 1-202-663-1225 options 1,6,2,3,2,0. And they told me my case was at the consulate in Jamaica already. Also the ready status means that your consulate in fiancé country has revived the case.

Mine says 'In Transit'. Does this mean, it has been sent from the NVC for my consulate? Sorry if its a silly question.

Flossy x

Yes, it means that it has left NVC but has yet to be registered as received by the consulate.

BTW - if you quote my (or anyone's responses), we get an e-mail to say that it's been quoted. That means you're more likely to get a response to your question from the person you're asking. Although, obviously, other people may answer your question anyway! If you don't quote, then it depends on whether we return to the topic later as to whether you get a response to your question.

Received and registered. I know our case was received by our consulate on 13 May but it was not showing as 'Ready' until 20 May.
