what packet?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

So do we need to wait for packet 3 before scheduling the interview?

There's nothing on the website stopping me from paying and then scheduling...

06/01/2013 Packet 3 Received

06/04/2013 Packet 3 Sent

06/10/2013 Packet 4 email received

06/27/2013 First Scheduled interview-cancelled (didn't get notarized paperwork in time)

08/12/2013 K-1 interview passed!

08/28/2013 Lili Arrives in the U.S.!!!

10/04/2013 Marriage!!!

Manila IV is a different beast - you really need to use the advanced search tool and find Hank_ 's posts about this. If you can't see the advanced search button, come back on a PC. Member name = 'Hank_' then click on 'display as posts'

FWIW, this is a China Question that yer posting in, not any Manila topic - are you studying what's in the Phillipines forum?

So do we need to wait for packet 3 before scheduling the interview?

RIGHT ! Exactly !!!!! I still think is some disconnect between 'GUZ IV OPEN CASEFILE' and the rest of the timeticks, but if you can pay and then schedule, go for it !

You guys and gals are getting me upset .

I got a hard copy letter that says the same thing.

Its from Bureau of Consular Affairs. Summary: Within a week your petition will be forwarded to the visa issuing post where your interview will take place. The US embassy will contact your fiancée when ready to process the application.

Your fiancée will receive a PACKET from the Consular on how to apply for the K1 Visa and what documents will be required. Visit Dept of State website. Travel State .gov. / visa/ immigrants/types-4323 html to determine if there is ant information you should be aware of. immediately.

Sincerely Bureau of Consular Affairs.

Ok, I'm getting ahead of myself. Attorney said to wait for fiancee to get packet. And that my letter is correct. He said CGI / ultraveldocs is done. And the fiancée is paying the fees. Using her bank card. He told me to chill out. , and quit reading on the internet. oops8rh.gif

Well we paid and made the appointment. I'm hoping we did the right thing.

Even though we haven't received packet 3, I made the appointment at the end of next month so we would still have time to Iron out that small detail. From what I understand packet 3 is one form, photos, and a copy of the passport information page.

At worst we can always bring those items with us.

09/14/2012: Sent I-129F Packet

well, packet 3 is one form, sure, but mentions a slew of other forms that have to be filled out and brought to the interview.

I think you have to wait for the p3 to come then mail back the p3 as it instructed. After the consulate receive it, they will email you a letter to instruct you how to make the appointment on CGI stanley. I did the same thing last week but then i found out you couldn't even do the physical exam and go to the interview room without that email. My nvc left date is May 8th and I received an email from Guangzhou consulate saying they mailed the p3 to my fiance. Still waiting....
