Hi!! I just my fiance just got the hard copy today of NOA2.... Ive been reading the post, but have some questions...

1. the original copy of the I129f package that my fiance has to send me... what that means... the forms signed? the evidence we sent at first, with the pictures? if they already have that, I still have to take exactly the same to the interview??

2. Ive been reading about calling to the NVC, ok we got the hard copy today, if he calls and give them all you said .. names, birth dates and the "WAC" number of NOA1.... they are gonna give us a CASE NUMBER... what do I have to do with that number???? call the US embassy in my country??? and give them that number? will they send me a package with that, or give me a date of interview while they get the documents from NVC?????

Im confused about that, please help! you are an expert!!!!!!!!!! you help alot! thanks so much!!!!smile.png

Haha I'm by no means an expert! But I just went through the same thing you guys are going through. They SHOULD have a copy of your full petition that will be forwarded to the embassy, but I made copies of everything just to be safe. Better safe than sorry, and that way your fiancé will be prepared if they ask for something you already sent. Plus send originals of evidence that you only sent photocopies of (e.g. Boarding passes etc)

As for the NVC case number, you don't really HAVE to do anything with it, buys a way to track your cars from the NVC to embassy. It's forwarded to the NVC who assigns it a consulate specific case number (the Tunis embassy's is TNS for example. From there the NvC enters it into their system then sends via DHL your package. I believe te NvC will mail you your case number hard copy, but I wanted mine ASAp so I called. Call at least a week after your noa2 hard copy. Once it reaches the embassy the embassy should contact you or your fiancé but if you want to call and ask if they received your petition it might speed them up. Fr there each embassy is a little different but I think most email packet 3 ( the paperwork you fiancé needs to complete for the interview) each embassy is different so you can research others who went trough the same process. This is all for K-1 only by the way. Sorry for any typos I'm typing this on my iPhone and its hard to read ;) good luck!!!!

Hmmm i've never heard of that in a K-1 case. Usually he would mail it to you so that you have it for the embassy interview. Maybe someone else has experience with that.

As to your other questions, I don't think you need his original birth certificate. Just a copy or copies of all pages of his passport- which should already been included in the petition that is sent to the embassy. If you want to take the vaccinations you can, but you might want to wait for your medical depending on if the physician in your country will accept the records. For now I would have your fiance send you any paperwork that he has (especially the affadavit of support with proof) If the NOA2 says to send it to the NVC then follow their instructions, but have him send you an original signed form with necessary evidence for your interview. Good luck!

So I finally received my NOA2 on May 16 after 9 grueling months. Yay! But now what do I do? Just wait for the consulate to mail me about the Affidavit of Support? I already have the AoS packet ready to go. I wish I could just send it. Any help would be appreciated.....Thanks!

9 months and you didn't research what the next step would be? wacko.png

9 digit number? That would be your A# (alien registration number)

Give them the case # of your I-129F petition from your NOA2. It will start with either WAC or EAC. They should be able to give you your new case# for the consualte and whether or not the petition has been sent there yet.

And you are correct. K-1 applicants do not send anything to the NVC.

Yes it's your alien registration number and I believe it stays the same throughout your immigration process. The above poster is correct about how to obtain your case number from the NVC. Good luck!
