how much money do you think the little kid that built your phone gets paid a day?

Very little...but what's the point? The screen I'm looking at was made in some underprivileged country. Should I boycott that also?

The fact is you attempt to make change, its not always gonna be perfect.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

It's all about showing you care..:)

Just look at those occupy wig nuts. A bunch of privileged white brats, who march in with their expensive toys, and display moral outrage as they trash and destroy everything in site.

If you really care get a job and donate to the poor.

Funny thing happened. I googled "wig nuts" and clicked on "images" and here's the first picture that came up.

Awesome, ain't it, how you were shooting in a totally different direction and yet came up with a perfect description of this "wig nut".

and that is exactly why in late December used car lots explode like mushrooms in chow ####### around here. They buy a car in January and get it reposed in May in msot cases. Car dealers make more than they car is worth then sell it again.

I live in and around it. The fraud waste and abuse of public assistance in this country is massive.

that isn't what i meant by blowing through the eic. i have never known anyone to buy a car followed shortly by repossesion, but i keep pretty responsible - self reliant friends. although you may think it impossible for someone to possess those characteristics and be on food stamps or their children on medicaid. i was thinking more of buying bikes for birthdays and a family aquarium cause the little kids wanted pet fish. impulse buys because you want to give your kids bikes and pet fish like any kid deserves. even though saving for their college education or unexpected expenses would be the better move in the long run.

everyone here lives among people who are on public assistance, and not everyone is as horrible and ignorant as your perception. end of the day, you're judging people on their outward appearance and your filling in the blanks as to you what you think is going on in their lives. you've been doing this so long, you're nothing but bitter. and that's only hurting you. you should move.

Classic. You've been blasting on Walmart and their sweatshop mentality; but once it's shown that you're all talk, your response is "what's the point?"

I gotta go now. Serfs up.

Right. If you can't get the whole world into a comfortable middle class status by your own, individual actions then you must support the drivers in the race to the bottom in this country enthusiastically.

And I didn't say that either.

It's always funny to watch the defense of Walmart. It's like the town of starving surfs defending the stature of the queen.

Walton's are pure GOP royalty; as is any company that can profit off the backs of its working poor. They idolize that kind of old fashioned American sweatshop gumption. Bravo, get away with what you can...

Give me your poor, tired huddled masses longing to be on food stamps and employed at $8:00 an hour with no benefits...but longing to be free to choose no job..

That's America!

So, you talk about starving serfs, profiting off the backs of the working poor, sweatshops, getting away with what you can, etc.

But, when you're reminded that the truly poor made your precious smart phone, you're response it total apathy. So, you're against everything you said earlier; but only if you can lay it at the feet of the GOP. If it's good for you, then you're fine with it.

dude doesn't like walmart's business practices and so you harp on him about having a phone.

i don't have a phone, so does that mean i can dislike walmart's business practices?

i'm pretty sure most of my clothes were made in sweatshops, but can i hate walmart anyway?
