Administrative processing means also the time for issuing a visa,it says on the site that if your application is approved on the interview your visa will be mailed in few days..... you can see it in the link where you check the status of the petition

Hello,

First of all, thanks for the information that you all give.

And now, my case: I had the interview yesterday (IR1 visa, Madrid, Spain) and after some doubts the consular officer said my visa was approved. Then, she told me "you will receive de visa in the next 10-14 days" and she kept my passport.

When I arrived home, 24 hours later, I checked the C EAC and ...surprise, I was told my status is 'Administrative Processing'. Is this 'AP' status normal? I mean, anybody with a visa approved has been told the same? Can they deny my visa after a "approved" by the consular officer? Do you know how much time does it take in Madrid Embassy?

Sorry for my english.

Please, I need help. I'm desperate.

Thanks.
