Does anyone have experience using this feature (CEAC) to track their petition once it reaches the NVC? Do they update it frequently? Or should I just call to check status to see if it has been forwarded to the consulate? This is the link in case you're wondering... https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

For IR categories,The status is READY once a case is complete in NVC & have an interview scheduled in the US Embassy abroad. When an applicant is approved during the interview & a visa is issued, the status is ISSUED.

I'm not sure with K-1/K-2 categories if it will be the same.

Thanks! Mine was actually update today too! It is updated pretty quickly for anyone else wondering. My petition is "in transit" online and I called to verify and it left today and is on its way to the embassy!

YES, I received the same message before I called NVC regarding the status.

I-130 Sent: 7/31/2012

I-130 Approved: 3/14/2013

NVC Received: 4/3/2013

NVC Case# Assigned: 4/9/2013

NVC Case Completed: 5/21/2013

Left NVC 5/30/2013

Consular Received: 8/24/2013

Received P4 Instruction Sheet: 09/09/2013

Medical Exam: 09/23/2013

Interview Date:10/10/2013

Result: AP

10/18/2013: submitted requested documents through CITIC Bank

10/29/2013: Visa Issued - Approved

11/07/2013: Picked up passport and visa at Citibank

Yes, I checked too and get the same error, althougth mine case has been updated 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Wondering if it is a technical issue or indeed a good sign? We have been undergoing AP for 11 months now sad.png ...

Aug/28 2013: I-485 received at USCIS, Chicago
Waiting for NOA1....

K-1 Journey
Jan/19 2013 : I-129F sent
Jan/22 2013 : I-129F received at USCIS, Lewisville, TX
Jan/24 2013 : NOA1 received - California Service Center
Jan/29 2013 : A# changed
May/15 2013: NOA2 (approved in 111 days after NOA1)!!!
May/31 2013: Received at NVC....
June/3 2013: NVC case number
June/4 2013: Package 3
June/4 2013: Case left NVC...
June/6 2013: Package 3 sent and Medical exam done
June/7 2013: Case at Embassy...

Yes mine says that too right now. The server must be down or something.

Online is says my petition is in transit, and an interview date has been assigned by the NVC. Did anyone else's K-1 say this? I thought the embassies handled the interview scheduling?

Hmmm mine said "at NVC" when I first started checking online, then "in transit" on its way to the embassy. I think "ready" might mean it's at the embassy? But it could be incorrect. Mine said that the NVC had assigned an interview date, which wasn't true.

I called NVC this afternoon, and they say it shipped, when I go to CEAC status page, for k 1 when I use non immigrant, Philippines, I get errors, When I use immigrant, and put in case number, it says Your case is in transit to counsuler section? Your interview date was provided to you by the national visa center? So, do you use the immigrant option for checking for k 1 visa status?
