Anyone with Washington DC District Office, please share your timelines. From the timelines on website, seems like Washington DC has gone backward. Earlier the dates were in March 2006 for I485. With the udpate yesterday, it looks like Washington DC is now processing cases received as of January 31, 2006. I hope atleast my EAD comes through before my H1 visa expires in January 24, 2007

Hi Andy JPA,

We just went through Washington, DC (actually the Fairfax USCIS office) for AOS for my husband and son. Check out my signature for our timeline. Note that we filed in January, received interview appointments in July (which we missed... .... don't ask), and finally had our interviews last month. So I think things are moving faster than advertised.

Good luck!

Maya

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!

We have been dealing with the Washington DC (Fairfax) office for 4 years. All I can say is "Have you ever been to an appointment there?" I have never seen so many people in a USCIS office in my life - each time we have been there are at least 300 waiting.

We also deal with the Pittsburgh DO and whenever we attend an appointment there it is so pleasant. There are only about 3 others waiting at any one time.

I am sure that the capital of the US has high numbers, particularly when it comes to work-related visas.

Good Luck!

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

We went through DC. We filed in March 2005 and had our interview on Jan 30, 2006. My wife got her green card on Feb 27, 2006. Our case wasn't approved on the spot because a supervisor had to sign off, so it made for a couple weeks of nail biting.

It was worth the wait. We've gotten good use out of the card so far. We made trips to Rome, Toronto, and the Philippines this year.
