my wife and i had some bad luck in mexico, the company i worked for was in mexico but went bust overnight, and my wife and i where still waiting for her birth documents from the mexican gov, 4 years later we got the documents and after her being in the U.S.A illegal 4 years i took her back to her family on my own, i have been upfront about everything to the ICE company about why and how long she was here, i now have an approved I-130 petition 2 weeks old, what should i do next and will i need a I-601 WAVER, can you give me the facts of what may happen next, and also is their any truth to what i here about a 10 year bar could be placed on my wife from re-entering the U.S, thanks so much for your views. P.S i've been married 6 years to her coming up this DEC.15

You have a long wait. It will take about one year before your wife has her visa appointment in Ciudad Juarez. If the laws have not changed by that time, her visa will be denied based on her illegal presence in the US and she will be given a 10 year ban. If she is eligible, they will allow her to submit the 601 waiver. You will need to submit a hardship letter proving extreme hardship to you, the USC, if her visa ultimately is not approved and you are forced to relocate to Mexico permanently. Check out the 601 forum on immigrate2us.net for information on the hardship letter. You have plenty of time and there is a good chance the laws will change before her interview date. Good luck.
