So, when the give you case number then they are sending case to embassy or doing some more AP?

So this morning I called NVC ofr my case # and the rep(very rude person) asked me to read what my NOA2 stated. It said my case was "forwarded to the listed consulate". The rep said my case went directly to my consulate and that cases do not always transfer to NVC? Who am I to argue with her, but I thought it went from CSC to NVC to consulate????

I've read threads on here where that has happened, but I don't remember what the end result was. If you use the search function you might be able to find those threads. Although, I see that you just received your NOA2 last monday. It's only been 5 days. Even though it says on your NOA2 that the case was transferred to your consulate, I would wait a few more days to call the NVC back. My case took nearly 2 weeks to be entered in their system. Also, just because it says that on your NOA2, that doesn't mean that's what's going to happen. Sometimes USCIS puts wrong info on there. Go figure. With mine, the Hague was listed as my consulate (which was wrong), but it was forwarded to Amsterdam (the correct one) by the NVC. Yet another example of incompetence by USCIS.

It's all so confusing! There is no consulate listed on my NOA2, even though it says my case went to the "listed" consulate. Think I will call back like u said, seems they(the NVC reps) are confused as well...

Just called NVC again, the rep said my case is not there as yet, that I should call back next week. The rep from this morning was an idiot, giving me wrong info!! Anyway, I will call every couple of days.........

So my consulate website stated to have all copies of civil documents certified, is that the same as notarized? I wanna have it all done before interview or they will charge US$30 each.......

Okay, so, you find out what date NVC sent your file...

Then you go to track by "shipper's reference": http://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

Let's say NVC says that your file was sent to Montreal on June 17.

Shipper's reference: EXP 17 JUN 2013A

pick a date range maybe a day before and up to today's date.

Leave the account number blank

Pick Canada from the drop down.

That should do it.
