My fiance sent me passport photos, and they do not meet the 2x2 inch criteria, I resized the photos and they seem fine and meet the criteria now, except for the fact that the shoulders are now a little cut off .... Does that matter or does the photo need to show the upper chest and shoulders completely. Like everyone else, i dont want to have to wait for her to get another photo and send it, since it takes several weeks ... Any advice would be great.,, Thanks

Same happened to me. I sent them anyway and everything was fine. I did include a statement explaining that I was assured at the photo shop that took the photos in Lima, Peru that these were "passport photos" and I hoped everthing was ok with them.

My fiance sent me passport photos, and they do not meet the 2x2 inch criteria, I resized the photos and they seem fine and meet the criteria now, except for the fact that the shoulders are now a little cut off .... Same thing happened to me as well. I received her passport photos today and they are 49mm instead of 51. I was trying to figure out how to resize them first even though they are dimensionally perfect. Unless anyone has had a specific problem with this, I think I'm going to go ahead and send them rather than delay this. I wonder if this is the common size of passport photos in other countries.

it took me 4 photo centers in cagayan de oro city to visit because they didnt want to take a passport picture without the preferred size. there are different sizes for passport (local or abroad)according to them so they wanted me to get the correct size specification from the concern. :( luckily, one studio let me, then just told them to take a passport pic which was ussually used by people who went abroad, then i had it! it was just a little different to my fiance's ppic size, but we submitted it :) no worries

I knew some sent a wrong photo and still got the visa with no problem.

If you are worried, get new photos... you might need they later anyway.
