I have been curious about this. I know they don't conduct interviews on Friday, but do they issue visas? Anyone know?

Hoping for some after Thanksgiving good news, huh? Let's hope they have good news on Friday! :D

Amen sister! :D

(I was just on hold for 30 min. with the DOS and got cut off (conveniently at the time that they closed)! I'll be on the phone bright and early in the morning!)

How many times do you call a day? I have called a many times but always feel like they are irritated by the calls. I don't however call them daily, I called yesterday after waiting 2 weeks. What do you ask them when you call?

Thats good to hear. With Thursday being Thanksgiving and no word yet I am freaking at the thought of waiting until next week.

I have called 4 times now. The first time was to find out if his file was there (it wasn't after 8 days). The next time to find out if the file was there again (after calling Casa and asking what is up). I called on Monday to find out if the checks were underway (they were). I called this morning to see if there was any progress (he made it through the first check and was undergoing the second). Then I tried to call before they closed today to find out if the second check was complete. If the computer finds a name hit after this check, then it will be 3-4 months of extra processing. That's why I really want to know!

The ladies I spoke with have all been very kind; have taken the time to search through the file and check things further on the computer to give me all of the information possible; and they've always told me to call back and good luck.

I called today and while the guy was nice, he didn't have a lot of information. He told me that a request was made by Casa for the security check, and that they had begun working on it. He told me he couldn't give me any more info than that, and that I shouldn't call back unless we still haven't heard anything from the consulate in 2 weeks. But, I can't just sit back and wait for two weeks, so I'll probably ring them up again on Friday! :D

timeline doesn't matter.
