my husband is schedule for his AOS interview this June 18, 2013.

we are having problem with his birthcertificate. we order it online thru ecensus (philippines) its been 2 months now and seems the USPS lost his documents. we been contacting them lately but they been transferring me protest6wz.gif

we even contacted ecensus. but it will take a while again, it might be too late.

anyways my question is will they look for his original BC crying.gifcray5ol.gif (stress...uggghh)

also, his passport is about to expired 3days after his interview schedule. we did renew his passport and will received it, at the same day as his interview. we haven't received his interview letter so i'm not sure if we have enough time to get it that day before heading to the embassy. uugghhh!!!

if ever we haven't got his original copy of his BC from ecensus will they accept copy of his BC? can i just show them my correspondent letter regarding his BC that it was lost in transit?

when i file for his K1 i gave them the original, so does my husband on his K1 interview he gave his original BC to the IO.

any ideas? thanks!!!

Bringing originals to the interview is just in case they ask to see them. They do not always ask for them. If there are originals in his file already, you could point that out to them if they happened to ask for an original. Bring another copy and proof that you have been trying to get another original, just in case you need to explain anything. Again, it might not even come up at all.

You can use a passport or drivers license/state ID to enter your USCIS office. The passport does not need to be renewed for a green card interview. They do not put anything in the passport. They might want to take the I-94, so just bring the current passport with the I-94 in it.
